Editorial Guidelines

1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
By registering as a contributor, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter binding agreements, and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for maintaining credential confidentiality and all activity under your account.
2. Article Submission Requirements
2.1 Originality
- All content must be original and independently created.
- Plagiarism, duplication, or substantial similarity is prohibited.
- You must hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions.
2.2 Accuracy and Substantiation
- Factual claims must be accurate and verifiable.
- Medical, financial, and legal claims must not be misleading.
- Statistics and research must be properly attributed.
2.3 Transparency
- Sponsored content must be clearly disclosed.
- Affiliate links must be transparently identified.
- Commercial intent must not be concealed.
2.4 AI-Assisted Content
- AI-generated output must be reviewed, fact-checked, and materially edited.
- The contributor remains legally responsible for final content.
- Automated, unreviewed AI submissions are prohibited.
- Submission does not create any obligation to publish.
3. Prohibited Content
The following is prohibited: copyright infringement, trademark violations, defamation, hate speech, harassment, fraud, manipulated reviews, hidden advertising, malware/phishing, and violations of consumer protection or privacy laws. We reserve sole discretion in determining policy violations.
4. License Grant
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting, you grant Actual Article a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, translate, publicly display, and promote content in any format or media.
This includes editorial edits, SEO adjustments, archiving, promotional use, and distribution across affiliated domains. This license survives account termination and content removal.
5. Editorial Discretion
Actual Article may edit, request revisions, reject, delay, remove, or add disclaimers to submissions at its discretion. Publication timing is not guaranteed, and detailed rejection reasons may not be provided.
6. Monitoring and Moderation
We may monitor and investigate content to comply with law, respond to legal notices, enforce policies, prevent abuse, and protect platform integrity. Actions may include warnings, removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination.
7. Copyright Complaints & Notice-and-Action
We comply with applicable notice-and-action frameworks, including DMCA (U.S.), UK Copyright law, and the EU DSA. Valid complaints may result in content removal or disablement. Counter-notification may apply and false claims can carry legal consequences.
8. Repeat Infringer Policy
Accounts that repeatedly violate intellectual property rights or platform rules may be permanently terminated, including without prior warning where legally permitted.
9. Limitation of Platform Liability
Contributors are solely responsible for submissions. Actual Article acts as an intermediary hosting provider, and publication does not constitute endorsement. We do not guarantee visibility, traffic, or rankings.
10. Regulatory Compliance
Contributors must comply with applicable intellectual property, advertising, consumer protection, data protection (including GDPR where applicable), defamation/libel, and digital services laws.
11. Appeals
Where required by law, contributors may request review of moderation decisions. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement.
12. Policy Updates
We may update these guidelines at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
